Urbanistica was established in 2000 by founding member, Principal Paul Mazza, in collaboration with Charles Lee and Joanne Wong. Since then, the practice has undertaken a variety of commissions for owners, developers, and investors throughout metropolitan Sydney, country New South Wales, New Zealand, and China. For specific projects we work in collaboration with our sister office in Melbourne, BMA Architects led by Principal Bill Mitsoulas. The design philosophy of Urbanistica is a holistic and site-specific architectural response to each project. Our approach to every commission is to thoroughly understand the client's objectives, work with each site's individual characteristics (location/orientation/topography/social significance), and collaborate with the local (or state) planning authority to achieve a creative, sustainable, and commercially enhanced design outcome.
